Wonderfully picturesque and evocative spot long tended for by our host and his late wife. We much appreciated the warm welcome on a blustery October night. Driving directions were elaborate but very accurate in getting us here on good roads, and putting us within one hour of Forest City, IA and our eventual destination: Winnebago Industries, the mother ship! Thank you, Eldon, for an unforgettable stay.

This Boondockers Welcome host was the epitome of graciousness. After helping us get parked and set up he took us on a tour of the countryside. He shared his knowledge of farming and the history of the community. He opened his home to us where we sat and talked for hours about his life experiences and ours. Eldon opened his heart and home to us fellow wanderers. We will never forget our time at Quiet Farm. ♥️

Eldon is a most interesting and kind gentleman. We thoroughly enjoyed our days spent on the Quiet Farm and appreciated the information he freely shared. One day we will pass through again (with any luck at all).

You need to make this stop! Eldon is the most gracious, kind and informative host. We learned so much about Blue Earth, had a crash course on corn and soybean crops and Eldon even arranged for us to ride on the combine during their corn harvest!! Where else could we do that!!?? I am a lover of all things rusty and he let me explore old outbuildings and old equipment on his property!! He knows he fulfilled a "lifetime dream" of mine to be able to explore stuff like that! Eldon, you are in our prayers sir! We will be checking in on you! God's blessings, grace and loving kindness on you!!

When in Minnesota pay a visit to the crown prince of travelers. There are none finer than Eldon and Brindle.
